A516Gr70N steel plate is a commonly used steel plate material for pressure vessels, which complies with the American standard ASME. "SA" means that the steel plate is suitable for pressure vessels specified by the American standard (ASME). "516" means that its minimum tensile strength is 516MPa. "Gr70" means that the material grade of the steel plate is Gr70. "N" means that the steel plate has been normalized.
A516Gr70N normalizing treatment: First, the A516Gr70N steel plate is heated to an appropriate temperature (usually 920°C to 980°C) and maintained for a certain period of time so that the structure in the steel plate reaches a uniform austenite state. This process helps to eliminate residual stress in the steel plate and improve the structure and properties of the material.
A516Gr70N cooling treatment: After normalizing treatment, the steel plate is rapidly cooled to form a fine martensitic structure through the normalizing process.
